North Albany Road Construction Project

The City of Albany will be reconstructing North Albany Road between the railroad tracks and the Gibson Hill roundabout. Work will include: replacement of the bridge over Thornton Lake, construction of new water and storm drainage lines, construction of sidewalks on both sides of North Albany Road, widening the road to accommodate a center turn lane, and realigning West Thornton Lake Road to the north to intersect with the existing signal.

Utility and road construction begins. North Albany Road will remain open to traffic.
June 12 - September 4
North Albany Road closed from Quarry Road to the railroad tracks. Detour via Quarry Road and Springhill Drive.
Sept 5 - October 30
North Albany Road opens to through traffic; minor construction and landscape work to continue.
