June 2012: City seeking volunteers for Library Board

The City is seeking volunteers from Albany city residents to fill two positions on the Library Board for four-year terms beginning July 1, 2012. Applicants must be residents of the city of Albany, and the Board meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at the Main Library, 2450 14th Avenue S.E.
The Library Board advises the City Council on all matters pertaining to the operation, maintenance, activities, and facilities of both the Main and Downtown Carnegie libraries. It also recommends to the City Council policies on Library services, is responsible for resolving questions dealing with intellectual freedom challenges and administers special trusts established for the Library.
