• What is our community's strategy for neighborhood grocery stores? What about Safeway?
• Are there related issues regarding transportation to grocery and other retail outlets? (Canal access to Safeway?)
• Density: This can be increased if services are available to meet the population's needs (traffic efficiency...travel less for more).
• Group houses or apartments in park-like setting so as to give spacious feel.
• Encourage "granny" flats or accessory units with a city-endorsed demonstration project.
• Moderate-cost housing mixed with "upper end" housing to create more balance.
• Jobs in the neighborhood:
• How do we energize businesses to get them more involved in the neighborhoods where their businesses reside? Can they offer incentives to their employees to live nearby? Start with city employees living in our own city!
