The City of Albany is accepting public comments on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs and the Draft 2015-2016 CDBG Action Plan. CDBG funds can be used for a variety of community development activities that primarily benefit low- and moderate-income residents and neighborhoods.

Volunteer Workdays in Albany’s Natural Areas
Albany Parks & Recreation Department will host regular cleanup days at Simpson Park, 778 Waverly Drive NE, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. the first Thursday of each month, starting March 5, 2015. Individuals or groups who want to help remove invasive species to improve Albany’s parks and natural areas are encouraged to sign up for the project in advance.
