Notice is hereby given that the Albany Revitalization Agency (ARA) Budget Committee will meet on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. in the Albany City Hall Council Chambers, 333 Broadalbin SW, Albany. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and review the Proposed Fiscal Year 2015-2016 ARA Budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the ARA Budget Committee will take place.

Free community shred day in North Albany
Oregon State Credit Union invites the community to a free document shred day on Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the North Albany Village shopping center. The event will include support and presence from the Albany Police Department and their community education program combating identity theft.
Construction Begins on Albany Station Pathway
On Monday, April 13, 2015, work will begin on a multi-use path that will connect the Albany Transportation Center to Swanson Park. This path is the last phase in the Albany Station project that has renovated the train station, Railway Express Agency Building, and adjacent parking areas.
8th Annual Procession of the Species Parade and Celebration
The parade begins Saturday, April 25, 2015, 10:00 a.m., in downtown Albany. Line up at 9:45 a.m. in front of the Linn County Courthouse 4th Avenue and Broadalbin Street SW. The parade ends at the Albany Farmers Market where the celebration continues with environmental activities and giveaways.
21st Albany Tree City Award and Arbor Week activities
In recognition of the City of Albany’s commitment to maintaining a healthy urban forest, the National Arbor Day Foundation has named Albany as a Tree City USA for the 21st consecutive year. The Tree City USA program is sponsored by the National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the National Association of State Foresters and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service.

Construction begins on North Albany Road and Spring Hill Drive
On Monday, April 6, 2015, work will begin on the first phase of the North Albany Road Reconstruction project. First phase work is located between Gibson Hill Road and Quarry Road and includes utility, street, and sidewalk improvements.
