Welcome to the City of Albany’s e-Permitting System
We have some exciting announcements on the enhanced services now offered though our site.
- Building Permit Applications - With our latest update you can now apply for all Building permits. As described below in our discussion on electronic plan review, we are excited to announce that you will now submit the construction documents with your application. This will allow you to apply, provide the construction documents, and pay for review fees in a single transaction.
- Public Works Applications - We are also excited that you can now apply for your Encroachment and Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control applications.
- ePlans (Electronic Plan Review) - Our electronic plan review software has now switched from ProjectDox to utilizing the e-Permitting site, offering you a more efficient experience. This allows you to create an application and submit your plans instead of waiting for an invitation in the separate software. This integration also allows for a single site to monitor the statuses of your applications.
- Updated Record Statuses - As part of the update, we have also improved several of our record statuses to offer better clarity on where your project is in the review process. This will allow you to better track and manage your projects through the e-Permitting software by knowing when an application may have been deemed incomplete, when a Plan Review letter is available, when fees are due, and when the permit is issued. A full list of the existing and new statuses and what they mean are available with our guides and tutorials.
- ***Coming Soon*** Planning Application - We are excited to announce that we will be offering a Planning application online for all your Planning cases. Unlike the Building or Public Works permits, there is a single application for all Planning cases and you will provide the corresponding application checklist for the style of application.
