Free Data
Ready to make your own maps or do your own analysis? Here's the place to start. With ArcExplorer from Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) you can get up and running with your own homegrown GIS (Windows, Unix, and Macintosh OS X). The first thing you'll need to do (if you haven't already) is visit ESRI's site and download and install ArcExplorer. Once you've done that, you're ready to grab some data. You can hop back to our GIS Links page and check out the Geography Network - there's lots of great stuff that you can download for free.
