Public Notice

The City is taking public comments on its draft 2014-2015 Action Plan that allocates Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funding for next fiscal year, the City’s Fair Housing Plan, amendments to the 13-14 Action Plan, and the Citizen Participation Plan. The Albany City Council will hold a public hearing Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at 7:15 p.m. on these plans. Visit the CDBG Web site for more information.

National Night Out is scheduled for August 5, 2014

National Night Out is a unique crime prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NTW), and occurs every year on the first Tuesday of August. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. OSU Federal's free shred day event, April 19

Protect yourself from identity theft and bring up to three boxes of outdated documents for hassle-free, no-cost shredding at OSU Federal, North Albany Village Shopping Center, Saturday, April 19, from 10am-1pm (or until the shredder truck is full). City of Albany partners with Goodsnitch for resident feedback

The City of Albany today announced its partnership with Goodsnitch, an innovative mobile technology that allows residents to provide real-time feedback about the city services they receive. Albany is the first U.S. city to implement Goodsnitch.

Flood Safety Tips

The City of Albany Natural Hazard Preparedness Team is monitoring water levels in the rivers and streams that flow through and around Albany.  Some have begun to overflow their banks, leading to high water on some roads. Conditions will continue to be monitored as rain continues through the weekend and into next week.
