If you purchase a older home in Albany, is there such a thing as a grant to restore it?

Many of Albany's historic homes are listed on the National Register by way of being in a historic district. If the home is on the Register, it makes it eligible for applying for different sources of federal and state funding. The City currently does not have grant funds for fixing up old homes unless you may qualify for a low income grant, and the grant money is almost all gone. Please read the responses to the questions below (posted on our site under "Ask Us"). You may also want to visit the city's Historic Resources website. You may call me if you have any questions about a specific property.
