Wanderings With Wanda: The Gobi Desert

Albany resident and Earthwatch participant Wanda Knight will give a multimedia presentation on her recent camel riding adventure in Inner Mongolia, China, at 6:30 p.m., Monday, November 27, 2006, at the Albany Public Library, 1390 Waverly Drive SE.

Knight spent 19 days among the highest sand mountains of the world with a team of lay persons and scientists trying to determine why China’s massive Gobi Desert is expanding and where the area’s water is going.

The program is open to the public and free of charge.
