Welcome to the City of Albany’s Development Resource Center. This site was created to better serve the development community by providing a centralized location for developer and builder related information. As part of the City's transformed building permit process, the community is now able to access through a 24-hour online website many traditional counter services including applying for certain permits, requesting an inspection, and checking on the status of their projects. The systems encourage sustainability by reducing paper use, printing and storage costs, drive time and gasoline consumption.
An interactive tool that allows citizens and business owners to see new and archived building, planning and public works permit applications. Entering an address returns applications for that area, appearing as green or blue icons on the map. Blue icons are new applications or ones currently under review. A green icon indicates a completed application. By registering for an account, users can set up alerts to be notified via email when new building/planning/public works applications are proposed for their neighborhood.

A web portal that allows you to submit many types of simple permits, track the status of your applications, make secure online payments, and request a building inspection online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To use all the services we provide you must register and create a user accounts. You can view information, research history, and have limited services as an anonymous user.
Simple building permit reports are updated weekly and are made easily accessible for contractors and subs looking for business.
A web based plan review solution that allows building and development plans to be submitted electronically, shortens the plan review cycle, reduces printing and travel costs, and supports the City’s sustainability initiatives. The ePlans program allows city staff to perform simultaneous reviews on plans. Only those invited to review and comment on a set of plans will be able to access the plans.

Payment of fees can be made online through the Accela link above, over the phone with a valid credit card, in person at City Hall, and via check though the mail.
