City Manager's Budget Presentation, April 2, 2019

Albany citizens: The costs of providing municipal services are rising faster than revenues are increasing – a problem many jurisdictions are facing. As we develop the next budget for the City of Albany, this presents the need to take some difficult actions to control costs.

On Tuesday, April 2, I described this budget environment for Albany’s Budget Committee. The report and charts that were used are available here. Please take a look.

The Budget Committee will begin formal review of the proposed budget for the 2019-2021 biennium on May 7 and 9. Our aim is to help residents understand where tax dollars are spent. In keeping with that goal, you can also view past budgets on this page and additional information on the City Data/Transparency page.
