The Albany City Council and Budget Committee believe that nonprofit organizations provide valuable services to the community and they continue to be interested in supporting the contributions that these organizations make.  City departments will accept applications for nonprofit grants provided the applications meet the requirements outlined in Resolution 5089, which was passed by the City Council on January 26, 2005.

An important part of the application is an explanation of how each agency supports or provides programs that would otherwise be provided by the City. Specific information about the services your organization provides that explains how you support programs that otherwise would be provided by the City are an important part of the application.
