The City of Albany is soliciting citizen comments on its 2018-2022 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This important financial planning tool identifies capital needs, establishes priorities, and forecasts expenditures for various projects over the next five fiscal years.
Generally, the CIP contains major projects and programs that have significant impact on the City’s infrastructure. The CIP is the principal tool used to plan and prioritize capital investments for the five-year period.
The City Council, Planning Commission, and Budget Committee reviewed the document on April 4, 2017. Comments from that meeting have been incorporated in the document that is now available for further citizen review. Copies of the CIP are available for viewing through Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Public Works counter at Albany City Hall, 333 Broadalbin Street SW; at both branches of the Albany Public Library (Carnegie, 302 Ferry Street SW; and Main, 2450 14th Avenue SE) and at www.cityofalbany.net.
Additional input will be accepted at a public hearing during the Albany City Council meeting Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 7:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
