To our valued customers,
The Albany Public Works Department is pleased to present the Albany, Millersburg and Dumbeck Lane Water District’s 2018 annual Water Quality Report. This report provides important information about the high quality of the drinking water Albany provides to homes, businesses, and industry 24 hours a day throughout the year. This information is provided to you in compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements.
Albany regularly monitors the quality of our water to ensure we are producing and delivering excellent drinking water. In 2018, Albany’s drinking water met or exceeded all state and federal standards for safe drinking water. Last year brought unexpected challenges for many water utilities in Oregon when cyanotoxins were found in the City of Salem’s drinking water. Our water treatment staff responded to new requirements from the state to ensure public water systems were protected against this contaminant and I am proud to report that Albany’s water was, and remains, safe to drink. Albany places great importance on delivering excellent water and works hard to meet our goal of providing high quality and dependable water service for all of our customers.
