The City of Albany is soliciting citizen comments on its 2016-2020 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This important financial planning tool identifies capital needs, establishes priorities, and forecasts expenditures for various projects over the next five fiscal years.
May is National Historic Preservation Month
Cities across the United States, will promote National Historic Preservation Month in May 2015. Albany has gained quite a reputation as a must see destination for people who love historic buildings. Four districts on the National Register of Historic Places boast over 800 historic homes and commercial buildings, museums and historic churches.
Construction Begins on Albany Station Pathway
On Monday, April 13, 2015, work will begin on a multi-use path that will connect the Albany Transportation Center to Swanson Park. This path is the last phase in the Albany Station project that has renovated the train station, Railway Express Agency Building, and adjacent parking areas.
Construction begins on North Albany Road and Spring Hill Drive
On Monday, April 6, 2015, work will begin on the first phase of the North Albany Road Reconstruction project. First phase work is located between Gibson Hill Road and Quarry Road and includes utility, street, and sidewalk improvements.
