At Maple Lawn Preschool, your child will be provided opportunities to build his or her self-esteem, have positive interactions with children of different abilities, ages, and backgrounds, and strengthen important problem-solving abilities. Activities throughout the day will enhance social skills, use of language, fine and large motor development, and ability to interact with others while discovering numbers, letters, shapes, colors, and the world around them.

Choose from either Rose or Blossom Classes in order to meet your child’s needs.
The Rose classes (for students who turned age 4 by September 1, 2014) focus on preparing your child for kindergarten. This class will develop pre-writing skills with Handwriting Without Tears curriculum and letter recognition and sounds with the Zoophonic curriculum. Counting and number recognition will be explored through games and manipulative. Social skills (turn-taking, using language, waiting, and more) are enhanced through outdoor play, group activities, and circle time.
The Blossom classes (for students who turned age 3 by September 1, 2014) focus on socialization through play in both small and large groups. Fine motor skills are developed through art activities, while large motor skills are gained through outdoor play and circle times. The world of colors, shapes, letter, and numbers are explored in a variety of classroom activities.
Ready, Set, Go!
The Ready, Set, Go! class is geared for those children who are turning 5 in the fall of 2015 and will be starting kindergarten in the fall of 2015, and who have not had any previous preschool experience. Ready, Set, Go! will focus on those skills needed for a successful kindergarten year: social skills, pre-writing (Handwriting Without Tears program), pre-reading (Zoophonics), math skills, fine motor skills, and language.
