Changes in ORS 93.643 and ORS 223.230 require the City to record certain liens in the County Clerk's office or provide access by an online electronic medium. The City has elected to record this information online with a conduit service.

Searching for City liens

Search fees

The lien search fee approved by City Council to access lien information is $25 per tax lot.

Lien information

The lien information consists of:

  • Local improvements
  • Mowing charge assessments
  • System development charges
  • Nuisance abatement charges

The Albany Municipal Code that relates to the wastewater system also directs that any charges that remain unpaid at the end of the City's fiscal year constitute a lien upon the real property for which the service was provided.

 

The City of Albany has won the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award since 1991. In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan, and as a communication device. The award is valid for a period of one year only.
